Leadership
Ismaël Diakité is one of West Africa's most respected mining executives, with over 25 years of experience spanning mining engineering, strategic project development, investment facilitation, and stakeholder engagement at the highest levels of the Guinean and international resource sector.
He holds a Mining Engineering degree from the University of Wales and an MBA in Development Economics from the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises, Paris — a combination of technical depth and strategic training that underpins every engagement the group undertakes.
Served as Country Manager and General Manager, overseeing bauxite interests at CBG (Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée) and contributing to the $20 billion Simandou iron ore project — one of the largest infrastructure and mining projects in the world.
Represented the world's leading bauxite producer, operating at scale in Guinea's resource economy.
Served from 2019 to 2025 as head of the principal body representing Guinea's formal mining sector.
A recognized voice on critical minerals, energy transition, ESG, and sustainable mining — including African Mining Indaba 2026 and Mining on Top Africa (MOTA) 2023 in Paris.
